The 'Cut'
Excavators remove soil from areas above the desired level. This material is tested for suitability as fill.
The 'Fill'
The excavated soil is moved to lower areas. It is placed in layers to ensure stability.
Compaction
Using heavy rollers, the fill is compacted to prevent future subsidence, creating a solid base for construction.
Excavation FAQs
If the site cannot be balanced (i.e., there is more cut than fill), we provide a "Muck Away" service. We are fully licensed waste carriers and will transport excess spoil to a licensed recycling facility.
Yes. If soil testing reveals contamination, we follow strict environmental protocols to excavate and dispose of hazardous material safely at specialized facilities.
