Before construction can begin, the land must be prepared. LG Groundworks provides full-scale earthworks services, handling the movement of large quantities of soil to engineer the required ground levels. We operate our own fleet of heavy plant machinery, including 360° excavators, dumpers, and rollers, ensuring we can tackle projects of any scale.

We specialize in "Cut and Fill" operations—balancing site materials to minimize expensive waste removal (muck away) and reduce the need for imported aggregates. Using the latest laser-guided technology, we ensure site profiles are accurate to within millimeters.

By crushing concrete and screening soil on-site, we significantly reduce carbon footprint and transport costs. All waste that must leave the site is handled by licensed carriers in full compliance with environmental regulations.

Final Grade

Trimming the site to the final reduced levels (formation level) ready for foundations or road sub-bases.

Common Questions

Cut and fill is the process of moving earth from one part of a site (where the ground is too high) to another (where it is too low). This creates a level plateau for building while minimizing the need to buy new soil or pay to remove waste.

Yes. We can arrange for soil testing (WAC testing) to identify contaminants. If hazardous material is found, we coordinate its safe removal to a specialist landfill facility.

Our fleet includes 1.5T to 20T excavators, dumpers, dozers, and compaction rollers. We select the machinery based on the site access and the volume of material to be moved.
