The Installation Process

Excavation
We dig out to the correct depth (typically 250mm+), removing vegetation and organic soil to reach a solid substrate.
Sub-Base
We install a geotextile membrane followed by Type 1 MOT aggregate, compacted in layers for ultimate stability.
Drainage
Required drainage channels and soakaways are installed to manage surface water runoff efficiently.
Laying
The final surface (Block, Stone, Tarmac) is laid with precision levels to ensure water flows away from buildings.
Landscaping FAQs
Usually, no, provided the surface is permeable (allows water to drain through) or directs water to a porous area within your boundary. We specialize in SUDS-compliant permeable paving to avoid planning issues.
Porcelain paving is currently the best option for low maintenance. It is non-porous, meaning it resists algae, moss, and stains much better than natural stone, and it cleans easily with a jet wash.
