Start with the retained property
A Woking garage or extension clearance may sit close to an occupied home, boundary or neighbouring building. Identify these relationships on the plan and in photographs. Tell us which entrances and services remain in use while the work is carried out.
Describe the structure and its base
State what is known about the building, roof and below-ground foundations, alongside available surveys. Removing a garage superstructure and removing its slab and footings are different scopes. Make the intended limit clear before comparing demolition proposals.
Check access for breakout and loading
Show the full route from the road to the work area, including width, turns, surfaces and vehicle standing. Concrete breakout creates material that must be handled and removed. The working space and collection arrangement should be reviewed with the demolition method.
Connect clearance with the new build
If foundations or drainage will follow, share that design with the demolition enquiry. Agree the treatment of redundant drains, old bases and unknown obstructions, then identify the handover level. Surveys, isolations and required approvals need to be resolved before the relevant work starts.
