New systems and drainage alterations
We assess drainage for new builds, extensions and development sites, including chambers, pipe routes, service ducts and water-management installations. Make clear whether the enquiry concerns a new designed system, an alteration to existing drains or drainage within a wider ground package.
Bring existing connections into the review
Provide available drainage surveys and measured connection information with the proposed layout. Existing pipe locations, chamber condition and outfall levels can affect the work. A system should not be priced on an assumed connection that has yet to be checked.
Coordinate levels across the site
Finished floor levels, external surfaces, foundations and utility routes all interact with drainage. Include these drawings together rather than sending an isolated pipe layout. State who is supplying the design and any third-party connection requirements so those interfaces are visible.
Define testing and making good
The quotation should say what inspection, testing, as-built information, backfill and reinstatement are included. Access to future maintenance points needs to remain possible after landscaping and surfacing. If construction continues around the drains, agree protection and responsibility for the completed system.
