Treat retained landscaping as a constraint
Where mature trees and finished drives are being retained, include the arboricultural plan and protection boundaries with the access photographs. Machine access and spoil storage need to respect those project requirements. A route that is wide enough may still be unsuitable because of loading, turning or protected root areas.
Price the site, not just the drawing
Drawings define the intended work, while access, ground, water, services, and programme determine how it can be delivered. Both sets of information are needed for a useful proposal.
